Clinical Evidences:
In order to assess the clinical utility of oral pharmacologic doses (food supplement) of nicotinamide and zinc in 198 patients with acne, an open-label, multicenter, prospective cohort study was designed by the Nicomide Improvement in Clinical Outcomes Study (NICOS).
Results:
– Improvement in 75% of patients after 4 weeks with reduction of inflammatory acne lesions.
– The improvement continued 4 to 8 weeks.
